Secret of Cooking & Turmeric Fried Rice

 Fried rice is one of the common Nigerian food. Prepared by people from different parts of the country. I named it Secret of cooking spice and turmeric fried rice because of the colour. The colour came out well and taste great. Fried rice happened to be one of my favourite food and I never get tired of preparing it. It can be served with Cole slaw or vegetable salad. Below are the ingredients and recipe. 

Ingredients:

2 small cups rice (parboiled) 

6  diced carrots

Pieces of diced  green beans 

1 large diced onion 

6 diced bell peppers 

1 handful chopped spring onions 

1 tbsp secret of cooking spice 

1 tbsp turmeric 

1 tbsp ginger paste 

1 tbsp garlic paste 

Salt to taste 

3 stock cubes 

1 cooking spoon oil 

  Method 

Heat the oil in a deep pan and saute the ginger- garlic paste. Add the diced bell peppers and onions, fry for some minutes. Add the diced carrots and green beans, spring onions, stir fry for 5 minutes. Season with salt, stock cubes, spices and stir fry. Finally, add the parboiled rice little at a time stirring till well mixed. Allow to cook for some minutes on low heat. 

Serve and enjoy!
