Honey Bread

Honey Bread is a delicious and soft bread. It tastes good. Best served with tea. It is prepared with flour, honey, sugar, melted margarine, yeast. 


2 1/2 cups of flour 

1 3/4 tbsp yeast 

2 tbsp honey 

3 tbsp sugar 

1/2 tsp salt 

3/4 melted margarine


Soak the yeast in 3/4 cup of warm water for 5-10 minutes. If the yeast did not rise, throw it away and get a good one. 

  Seive the flour in a mixing bowl, add the salt, sugar, honey, melted margarine and mix. Add the soaked yeast and mix well. Knead till soft. Oil the mixing bowl and put the dough inside. Cover and allow to rise for 1 hour. It will double in size. Punch it back to deflate the air in the dough. 

  Oil the bread baking tin and fold the dough, then put it inside the tin and cover with a kitchen cloth. Keep in a warm place. Allow it to rise for 30 minutes. Bake in a moderately preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. 

   Serve with tea.
