Kpomo Pepper Soup

Kpomo is originally Yoruba food. Yoruba is one of Nigeria's 3 major languages. Kpomo Pepper Soup is an appertizer. It contains fiber. It can be serve as lunch with with main course. 


1 small bowl kpomo

1 large diced onion

 3 diced bell peppers

1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste

1 tsp  ground black pepper

3 stock cubes

salt to taste

A dash of ground nutmeg


Scrape, cut and wash kpomo. Put the kpomo in a clean medium pot. Place the pot on the fire. Add enough water to cook to kpomo. Cook till the kpomo is almost tender. Add the onions, bell peppers, seasonings and spices. Cook on medium flame. Serve watery.
