Bread Pockets

Ingredients:

15 sliced bread 

1 small cup diced carrots

1 small cup diced green beans 

3 diced red bell peppers

1 diced green pepper

1 handful of chopped spring onion 

3 diced onions

3 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp each of Asmie's kitchen spices (curry, ground ginger, ground garlic, secret of cooking)

1 tsp ginger and garlic paste

 

    Method

Steam Dimsum / Steamed Vegetable Dumpling and Pies

    Ingredients:

2 small cups flour 

1 tsp salt 

Filling:

1/2 small cabbage (shredded) 

1 small cup raw tofu (mashed)

1 onion (chopped)

1 bouillon cube

Salt to taste

2 tsp olive oil

    Method

Pour the flour in a mixing bowl, add salt and mix well. Add some water and knead to form a soft dough. Rub little oil in the hands and knead again. Cover and allow to rest.

Unique Hibiscus Drink

  

Ingredients:

 1 cup Hibiscus (zobo)

 1/2 tsp cloves

1 fresh ginger (mashed)

Cups of water

1-2 satchets strawberry (fresh)

1 grated cucumber

 

METHOD

Remove the unwanted particles from the hibiscus. 

  Place your pot on the fire and pour 3-4 cups water. Cover the pot and allow it to boil. Add the hibiscus, cloves and ginger, cover the pot and allow to boil for at least15 mins. 

Mango Juice

 

 

Ingredients:

5 mangoes 

Sugar

 

Method

Wash and peel the mangoes. Cut into desired sizes and blend. Seive and add little water as you seive to enable the  juice flow into the tiny holes. Add sugar, stir and refrigerate.

Watermelon Aqua Fresca

 

Ingredients:

3 medium cups diced watermelon

2 tbsp lemon juice

Few mint leaves

Sugar

Ice cubes

 

Method

Blend all the ingredients in a blender and strain. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Banana Blast

 

Ingredients:

3-4 bananas

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

Ice cubes

Method

Peel and blend the bananas with milk. Then add the brown sugar and ice cubes and blend till smooth.

Pour in a glass cup and serve immediately!

Spicy Scrambled Eggs and Cucumber

  Ingredients:

4 eggs ( beaten)

2 medium chopped spring onion

1 cucumber (sliced into wedges)

2 tbsps oil

pinch salt

1 tsp sugar

White pepper ( ground)

1 stock cube

 

 

Method

Heat the oil in a pan on the fire. Saute the onions. Add the tomatoes,allow to cook for few minutes. 

     Whisk the eggs with some salt, sugar, stock cube and Spring onion. Add the eggs in the pan allow them to set then flip over and scrambled the eggs.Remove the pot from the fire and sprinkle some white pepper.
